After reading the positive reviews here, I visited this unassuming office tucked away in the Diamond District for my first experience selling precious metals. My boyfriend had some inherited jewelry that had not seen the light of day since his mother passed on seventeen years ago and we thought "why not?"
Indeed, why not? Amit Patel and Oshri were both professional, kind, cheerful and forthcoming on information. They didn't try to fast talk me at all, but clearly explained every procedure used to determine the value of the scrap. I had already weighed the material myself and calculated it's approximate market value, based on the day's gold prices and applying the appropriate formula. I was NOT disappointed with the figure and the payout I received from these gentlemen, and am delighted to recommend them to my friends and to do business with them again, if warranted.
Also, as they are not on the ground level and not in the "showroom" retail business, the whole process is much more discreet, private--and faster! I was in and out in about fifteen minutes.
